Great place to take an early morning stroll and walk on the over-the-water board-walk and enjoy the view

Excellent place to spend a few hours rock-climbing, it's got a brewery attached to it!

Has two portions, a gallery and Laguna Gloria (they have peacocks on the grounds here)—both are fun

Big tourist attraction but is still filled with unique shops and the best view of the capitol

Find the perfect one-of-a-kind souvenir from Texas in one of the many thrift shops. Avoid ones on South Congress as those are marked up, but still nice to browse

Perfect place to get a sunset over the lake or an early morning sunrise

Texas State Capitol
Bigger and better than the US Capitol (like everything in Texas) it's worth the visit to see Ann Richard's hair in her portrait. Go girl!

Newest big addition to town, this place is architecturally beautiful, but also a nice place to go with kids
